The Butchery Department at Ludlow Farmshop is the heart of the shop, our Head Butcher, John, together with his team, fully control the quality of the meat they sell. They transport the cattle and lambs for slaughter to Griffiths of Leintwardine, which is only seven miles away from the shop. The meat is then both matured and prepared for our customers on-site. The Estate provides game in season, notably pheasant, partridge and venison. The free-range poultry and pork are sourced locally. Ludlow Farmshop is designed to not only sell food but to produce it, and over half of the products sold are made in production units surrounding the shop floor.
Voted in 2016 as the UK’s Food Hall of The Year in April’s Farm Shop & Deli awards, Ludlow Food Centre brings together seasonal produce, artisan food production and local fare under one roof. Having also been awarded five gold stars by the Guild of Fine Food in July 2016, it continues to make waves in the speciality food industry. Over the years, Ludlow Farmshop, has picked up over 150 awards, most recently winning gold again in the Dalemain World Marmalade Awards.
