Lizzy Hughes - 'Vegan'

Where:

Castle Garden Stage - Castle Gardens

When:

Vegan with Lizzy Hughes

Following many happy years teaching primary school children in Birmingham, it was after gaining her Cordon Vert Diploma at the Vegetarian Society that Lizzy became a cookery demonstrator, sharing recipes with groups and at festivals.

When people asked about classes, she then decided to combine her love of cooking with the passion for teaching, and ‘Our Lizzy Cookery School’ was born!

Growing up in the Midlands, the Malvern Hills had always been one of her special places, so it seemed right that this would be the place to start her new venture.  A house was found that is a bit like a tardis, with a huge space for a teaching kitchen, and after months of renovating, the doors to ‘Our Lizzy’s’ first customers opened in spring 2010.

A vegan herself for over 30 years, naturally all Lizzy’s food is vegan, but courses are open to all, and all come!  Lizzy welcomes new cooks, nervous cooks, and accomplished cooks of all ages. Everyone enjoys the opportunity to watch demonstrations and cook with others.
