Mike Warner is a consultant seafood writer, broadcaster and fishmonger, who connects consumers, chefs and seafood lovers to seasonal British seafood via his own unique brand of ’net to plate’ storytelling.

Mike is a passionate advocate of the UK fishing industry and an ambassador for Love British Food. His knowledge of British seafood and its provenance has led him to being recognised as one of the country’s leading authorities on local seafood sustainability, seasonality, and traceability. 

Mike has spent years at sea with fishermen all around the UK and in ports, harbours, and fish markets, learning from those at the ‘coal face’ of the industry, in order to better advise consumers, chefs and the media on making decisions about sourcing and eating British fish and shellfish.

He is an active member of the Guild of Food Writers and has been twice shortlisted for his writing in their prestigious yearly awards. He lives in coastal Suffolk with his family, where he also runs a fish shop, selling seasonal UK fish and shellfish near Woodbridge.
